Eonhiem is a realm that combines the unique elements of the Steam Punk world with more fantasy elements. It is our desire to see a place that allows a typist and their character to grow and become a part of something we desire to be great and beautiful.
Steam Punk: What is it? A genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery rather than advanced technology.
Fantasy: Magic is Real. Races other then human exist.
Locations: The Realm: Eonhiem Capital City: New Gaerdon (most rp occurs here for the time being)
Transportation: Railroad (common in and out of New Gaerdon) Steam Powered Cars (limited in New Gaerdon, almost non existent outside of the city) Steam Powered Air Ships (common use of transportation between major cities, primarily for goods)
Technology: Electricity: All major cities of Eonhiem In Door Plumbing: Most major cities of Eonheim Moving Pictures Automatons
Advanced Weapons Guns: Newer Technology with a range of effectiveness. Think of the wild west, most guns were crap, but a few sharp shooters could make it work.

The Story Thus Far
Eight Hundred Years ago the First member of the Harbingers of Aeon descended upon what would become the City of Gaerdon, It was here that they established a small hamlet in which to live out their lives peacefully, but as with most successful hamlets soon the it became a village, with a keep, then a town and finally a city. Over time and through many wars the City of Gaerdon was named the Capital of Eonhiem due to tis defensive position and advancements in steam based technology. Given their proximity to a constant source of water. Eventually the Pride who rulled over the City began to die out and soon found their line was dwindling due to a Genetic Flaw in their bloodline. Thus they sought to create heirs. by educating the local Fae and Elf population and dividing them into houses to see who would effectively replace them.
The Original Houses The House of Corruption - Headed by Olvera Fiarce since its creation represented to the Pride their technological and scientific leaps throughout the years. Their original function was to merely create and advance but soon they took upon their shoulders the roll of maintaining the city's buildings, pipes, and electrical grid.
House Elfhiem - Headed by Geralt Elfhiem originally, began as the Prides passion and desire. Throughout the years this house showed that though cruel they had a particular ability to lead and thus they became the unspoken leaders of the city itself.
The House of Harmony – Headed by Alistair Oririeth. This house was created initially to balance The Vain and the Corrupt so that Technology did not advance beyond the City, or vise versa; however, over the years their role as mediators led to ensuring the thriving economy.
These houses worked to effectively rule and keep the peace of Old Gaerdon until a Cataclysmic Earthquake shifted the land and caused Gaerdon to flood. This Marked the beginning of a New Era where the three houses elected to bring two new orders into existence to aid in the rebuilding and fortification of the city and realm. These Houses Were
The Red House- Headed by Illyana Valos. Orginally this house had one function to sooth the aching hearts of those who had lost loved ones. They did so effectively and obviously through means of copulation. However they also began to perform plays and offer other services to the populace that are still popular unto this day. They were affectionately given the role of ensuring that Gaerdons were never without some form of joy or left to wallow in boredom.
Knights Gaerdon - Headed originally by Lore Aeri, was the house designated to defend the population during this time of crisis. Their function has not changed over the years and they have remained steadfast in their designs, but they were given a new function as Gaerdon Grew beyond its original borders and crime began to rise. To bring Justice by whatever means necessary.

Dead Is Dead? And why am I no longer super awesome and immune to everything?
The Reason is that the city of New Gaerdon's earthquake was tampering in magical energies that should not have been tampered with. The houses sacrificed their own great magics in order to ensure the survival of the city, by allowing for the creation of the siphon generators. These generators create a field of energy that renders all within unable to harness the full extent of their supernatural abilities. This limitation of course has been in place so long that many of the people who live within have adapted and learned to use other means to become strong. As such, a greater importance is now placed on learning, political standing, and biannual instructions. Thus you will find that many people even lower class citizens in new Gaerdon are fairly intelligent, and have either devoted themselves to becoming stronger via technique or learning.
